Good first day.

It has been a crazy and overwhelming but precious day. I woke up this morning in Lebanon, and now, my droopy lids are fighting to stay open in fancy Dubai. Today, I met some of my co-workers, I met one of my roommates, and I unpacked a little. Then, I was whisked away to a mall by some family friends with my mom and my sister. I walked into Pottery Barn, where my heart sank because all the lovely exquisite things I coveted cost more than what I'm getting paid. I wonder if I can get away with living there without anyone noticing.

Anyhow, the people I met are precious, especially my roommate, Nour. I cannot wait to get to know her. Tomorrow, I will conquer the shopping world of Dubai. Or it will defeat me. Either way.

Relocating

Only twelve more days until I move to the fancy outskirts of Dubai for a year. Oh, how unprepared I am, I have not even started packing. I think I'll get started today. Prayers for wisdom about what to take with me and what to leave behind are much appreciated. Advice is also welcomed.
